Some Tips On How To Keep Yourself From Sounding Like A Butt-Wipe. Which Is Something Everyone Should Try To Do. v.1.0

1. Trolling is a fact of e-life - get used to it. I hope your ego is not so fragile as to throw you into an e-flame war when it is bruised. Edit: Some have accused me of being a troll myself. Sorry, I meant asswipe. (Changed as per request of another member.) I won't deny it. You could take a look at my Certified Troll Badge, but you'll have to dig through the rest of the trash in the forums to find it.

2. In the likely event that you are unable to control your ego, remember that your sense of righteous indignation is probably far from righteous. More than likely, you deserved whatever flame you received.

3. Think you hold the moral high ground? Think again. Think - really, really hard. Hopefully you’ll think so much that you forget what you wanted to say. It will save us all from having to read your arrogant spew. It’s just for the good of everyone else, really. You’ll save us all some valuable time.

4. If you are unable to stop yourself from retaliating with a high minded post that really just shows off how small your e-penis is, you’ll want to read on. The next couple of tips can be helpful in making you sound less retarded. Slightly less – your words bear some weight, but it’s really the person behind the words that define its value.

a. Emotes make you sound like a petulant little child. For example - *sigh*; *taps foot impatiently*; *sigh*. Far from making you sound like the witty, intelligent e-personality you want to be, it makes you this: *look an me I’m an ass!1!1!!!111”

b. Don’t try to correct grammar and spelling. More than likely, you will incorrectly spell one to several words. It gives people like me a good laugh at your own expense. Vocabulary, grammar, spelling – you can do it? Great, it makes your words hurt our eyes a little less. (Sorry, but what you type is still bad enough to burn my mind.) But when you try to use those three as yardsticks for definitively measuring intelligence and credibility (especially credibility), you’ve already screwed yourself over. You sure as hell better use a spellchecker and proof-read what you write.

c. Becoming a Nazi about semantics is a bad idea. Look up those words before you flame me, by the way. Update? Patch? Which is it? Update? Patch? Care to name someone who find your discussion useful? (read: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...6&page=2&pp=25 ) The particular definition of a word is rarely important to a discussion. You waste time discussing that in a thread purposed for something other than the discussion of words. You come over as an arrogant twat - though by all means, continue. You’re just flashing your small e-penis to everyone who wants a good laugh.

Just remember, every time you type something stupid, there will be hundreds of people laughing in front of hundreds of monitors. Good luck being taken seriously.

I think it would benefit us all to debate and set a standard for the difference of color values between blue and green. Let us agree upon a set value based on the RGB standard. Though the traditional RBY might work just as well. Thoughts, anyone?
